Merdeka!

Today at approximately 9.50a.m. the house phone rang and my mum picked up. Then she suddenly yelled down the stairs at me to switch on the tv and flip to NTV7. And when i asked why and who was on the phone she answered, "Daddy. He's waiting to be interviewed on tv."

My dad is such a vain pot lah! After he called us, he tried calling an aunt but she didn't answer. =) And then he tried calling my grandma, but she didn't answer either. Haha!

So anyway! This is my daddy on tv! =)

Vain pot. =P

You know, even on tv my dad's still really kepo and all.

Even after he was interviewed, he still kept himself nicely in view of the camera, even tho the other guy (who hadn't gotten interviewed yet) kept out of the camera's sight. And even when the tv man was asking the other guys a question, my daddy still leaned in to hear. Hahaha! Love my kepo Daddy. He provides me with someone to laugh at. =)

And then after the interview, he straightaway called me up and was like, "So did you see me???" Hahahah i could practically hear his HUGE GRIN over the phone!! So vain.

On a different note, I FORGOT TO HANG OUT MY JALUR GEMILANG THIS YEAR. =( Actually i remembered on several occasions, but that was when i was not at home, or it was too late at night.. and now i don't feel like hanging out anymore cause it's kinda late. Oh well.

I love getting all patriotic-y larh! I love getting excited about things. =) I've always been excited about Merdeka ever since i was in that formationy thingy, and i got super excited when i saw our Malaysian people at the Olympics haha! like we won anything but... i still support! Actually i'm a lousy Malaysian myself because i don't know alot of Malaysian stuff but yah who cares at least i support. =D

Anyway, HAPPY MERDEKA!!

Merdeka Celebrations 2008

Well.

It was super hectic this year larh! There were only four prefect council members left who were not involved in Bicara Berirama or band and so we had to run around like mad trying to do several jobs at once. We (me, Kim, Maryann and Nafisah) being still young and foolish, plus we weren't exactly told what to do for this Merdeka thing, we were just given the program, yeah we only realised the day before the thingy (yesterday) that we actually needed to do quite alot of stuff. So i had to go hunting for the teachers in charge of some of the activities to ask what they wanted me to do. =)
And you know what?? I think i was their Slave of the Day. Like everytime i stuck my nose in the teachers' room door someone would call me to do a job for them. Some were ok lah cause it was to do with my job and everything, but some were like totally no kaitan with me at all! End result, i was running from one end of the school to the other doing odd jobs that had nothing to do with me at all. -_-

So anyway, got to school this morning, many teachers shoved last minute things at us to do and we were panicking like mad. A few last minute things to add into my assembly script as well. I thank God that i typed out my (what i thought was) complete script the night before so mine was pretty well organised. Still, there were many last minute things to do but it all went off without a hitch in the end of course.

I did the formal part of the assembly and then i made the afternoon session Head of Assembly do the informal part cos i was too lazy and i was running out of saliva anyway. =) So during the informal part, i went to ronda with Maryann at the church area. We saw a few St. Joe students there pontenging, including a couple that i know ;) but shall remain unnamed. Then we spotted one of our students at the toilets, and she spotted us as well so she ran back into the toilet. Maryann went there, saw a locked cubicle and yelled, "Come out now please!" and FOUR students came out, muttering something about their friend being sick n they were trying to look after her. And one of them started limping, dunno whether real or not. Some students are so smart, they bring their friends all the way to the church toilet to look after them. Macamlah the school no sickroom.

So yeah, after that was pretty uneventful i suppose. Except there were MORE students trying to ponteng. Gosh, make people's life so hard only. I just realised this post very super long and i know the way i tell story all very lintang-pukang one. Haha! But oh wells, i can assure you, it sounds alot more entertaining if i tell you in person. =)

And. This post totally no picts man, but i havent put today's picts in my computer yet, and my picts are boring anyway cause i didn't have time to take many pictures.

But whatever, i PROMISE my next post will be more interesting! Or at least more picture-filled. :)

Ciao.
